He can ride a bike!
He has an upsherin. He has a yarmulke and peyos.
But he doesn't have tzitzis. Because we were having a little challenge in the potty aspect of life. Notice I said "were" having? Yup, not anymore!
A week after we started training, he was fully trained with peeing. We put him in underwear full time, even for outside, right from the beginning. He went from peeing whenever he felt like it, to holding it in until we got home (even if we were out for four hours and he drank lots of water during that time) to asking me to take him to a tree when he needs to go outside... in the matter of a week.
And for that, he got a prize! OMGGLITTERCRAYONS!!
He is almost there for the "other half" of potty training. He went from me having to watch his expressions and rushing him to the potty to him making it there on his own half the time.
His next prize? TZITZIS!
woohoo!!! mazal tov!!! it's such an awesome feeling for everyone after a harder-to-train experience (yup i was just there!)B"H
ReplyDeletethe next to last is my fave.
Thankyouthankyou for the mazal tov wishes. :) He was a bit spazzy today, but is doing great on the whole. I'll wait another week to start tzitzis.
ReplyDeleteHow's Chedva? Does she have it down pat? Has she had any accidents since that episode in school?
well, i'll tell like this. i consider her B"H B"H B"H fully trained. she has only had one or two more #2 accidents at home. one of these was as we were going into Yom Tov, so it could have been the activity level was distracting, or my fault for not paying close attention to her body language/expressions (which i still have to do).
ReplyDeletehowever, in school she will do #1 with no problems, but still won't do #2 there--but no accidents! at home, she'll do #1 willingly, and tell me she needs to. #2, i usually have to talk her into it but she goes for a prize or something.
