~Zusha almost 5~Gedalya 3~Adel 6-7 months~

Do I miss these curls?


No way no how! I have pictures, and pictures don't need brushing.


I keep trying to catch a photo of the dandelion seeds as they are blown away, but apparently am not succeeding. We're all having fun in the process, though.


Gedalya found himself a treasure- a big rock!

Zusha was playing on the jungle gym, and his tzitzis were hanging down between the slats. Of course, Gedalya wouldn't pass up such a fun opportunity!


Juuuump!




Someone on Imamother suggested to use sugar water to help curl peyos. I tried it because, well, nothing else works! (They also suggested pineapple juice, but I'm not going there.) So I gave it a try. It's healthier than spraying him up with chemicals every day, although I haven't used hair spray or gel in over a year. So I tried he sugar water, and it actually held his straight hair together in some semblance of a curl.

The First Snip!

We arrived at the bonfire and Hillel lifted Gedalya up on his shoulders.

Shortly, the other fathers lifted their upsherin boys as well.
There are four boys in this photo. There were about 6 all together.



The preschool classes stood by the wall, while the rest of the students and Rebbes danced around the bonfire.

Adel stood by the fence and watched.



They brought a table to the middle of the yard and lifted the boys onto it. The two Rebbes each proceeded to snip off a lock from each boy.
So Gedalya got bangs!



After that, the dancing resumed. Hillel took Zusha into the circle as well, since it was his brother's simcha.

The ceremony was over and we took the boys for ice cream...


...and then to the park.




On our way home we took the scenic route, to make for some more gorgeous photos.
Gedalya's curls bounce all over the place as he runs.

We're On Our Way!!!

We left our house on Tuesday morning and headed to cheider.


Snapping photos, more and more... last chance!


Somebody is really looking forward to being a big boy!


We dropped Zusha off at cheider and took Gedalya to the park until the festivities began.

Another bonus: natural poses and expressions.


And then, it was time to join everyone at the bonfire.

It had just rained. Gedalya's hair got soaked, and as soon as it dried, it formed perfect, bright orange locks.
