September 2009 Photos

Adi's first (self initiated) nom:

And another nom:

The Hachnosas Sefer Torah I mentioned a while ago. It was really hard to get good photos. These two came out good.

Swingy baby

Funny face baby

The funny face baby stole my watch! (She kept looking at it and touching it, so I let her wear it for a while. She was so happy! :D

I took the kids for rides on a mini carousel. It was (and always is!) a big hit. This was Adi's first time. We put her in the center because she wouldn't be able to stay seated on a horse.

Pure joy!

We met up with some friends in a park.

She's so cute, it hurts.

Brothers!

A fish tank in the window of an optometrist's office. There are crates outside to stand on because there are always kids there. It's a great source of entertainment!

Adi's About to Become VERY Popular

We were approved for each of the therapies (four of them) to be given TWICE a week.
That's eight half-hour sessions a week. Whoa. Our life is about to become very busy, and our home very full. We are starting right after Simchas Torah, her birthday!

In other news, we started building the Sukka and I suddenly remembered what is not so great about it: The boys stand by the window watching Hillel build it all night long.

Another thing I realized- there are only two days of Yom Tov that we are able to go to Shul, and just take all the kids outside. We were invited by three families, and I really want to go to two of them, but there are only two available meals for us to go (I don't want to go at night and risk having nutty, wacky, overtired kids.) And the Simchas Torah meal is a hard one to be a guest for since all families end Shul at such different times. Some eat quickly and then go for Hakafos. Some eat after the Hakafos. Some make kiddush before and eat after. Hard to coordinate.
Too bad, because I was really looking forward. Yom Tov is our only time to really socialize with people in the community.
Maybe we will invite someone for an evening meal.

{Squirrel}

We have a little squirrel.
(No, this photo was NOT edited! ;))

Trying to make his best squirrely face.

Here, have an acorn!

(Zusha was freaked out beyond words and kept screaming at Gedalya to get down if he values his life.)

Annnd.... a bonus baby squirrel for your awwwing pleasure!

Excursions

Life has sent us on many excursions.
And so many new things to discover!
We found a new park when we went to the audiologist one month ago. The kids loved it! They named it "carousel park" and soon you'll see why.

This park has lots of wide open space.

It's also near a train, so whenever a train passes by, you can see the whole thing! The field of vision was enormous, and the boys got such a thrill seeing the first and last wagon of the train at the same time.

Thrilled enough to hug each other.

And that's saying something!!

Here is the famed carousel, the namesake of the park (as far as my boys are concerned.)

And there's also a fun communication system of some sort. It's a pipe that connects two cones. One is on a jungle gym and the other is on the ground. The boys really loved it, since they always sneak away my cell phone and our home phone to call each other from opposite ends of the house. So this was really perfect for them!

We all loved the park so much that we decided to go back, not even a week later!
Here's Adi, practicing her faces and her standing.

Enjoying quiet time in a tunnel...

"Hi, Zusha!"

A climbing area. At first Zusha was having a hard time and kept getting frustrated.

When he finally made it, he was so proud!

Then we caught a bus on our way home.

A great day!

Here, There, Everywhere

I don't have so much time to be as creative as I'd like with my posts. I haven't posted as many photos as usual, so here are some for your viewing enjoyment, without any rhyme or reason. :)

I came to my room once to find Adel doing yoga.

In her sleep!

When I was pregnant with Adel, Zusha desperately wanted a girl. And that girl should have earrings.
When she turned out to be a girl, Zusha said, "I knew it! I told you!" But when he saw no earrings, he demanded to know why. I told him that babies aren't born with earrings, and we will get them for Adel when she asks for them.
Just recently, Zusha realized something. "How do you put earrings in a girl's ear?" I told him that there is something that looks like a drill and it makes a tiny hole in the ear very fast.
Zusha got a horrified look on his face and decided that he won't allow for Adi to get earrings.
"But we can make sticker earrings!" he said, beaming.
And here I present to you Adel as a Gypsy.

Fun times with Grandma! (My mother)

Chalk...

Gedalya has a humongous branch. You can't really see how big it is because it blends in with the trees in the background, but if you look closely, you can see it extend into the left corner of the photo and beyond. It was like three times as big as Gedalya!

Zusha made these train tracks on his own. I gave him a small square box to use as a spacer (or else he makes the parallel lines inch closer and closer together until they meet). Neat, isn't it? He then outlined it and glued stones that he collected at the park along the sides.

The castle Zusha built at the library.

He was so proud!
