Potty Training

Zusha has been going on the potty since around 15 months old. Except for one tiny problem: he refused to take off his pants!
One evening when Zusha was 27 months old I asked him to go on the potty. He let me take off his pants and sat down and made pis-pis! That was the beginning, and we haven't looked back since. On September 20, 2006, Zusha wore underwear outside for the first time. His main "prize" for making nicely in the potty was getting to flush the toilet!

Ocean

On September 19th we took a trip to the ocean. It was the kids' first time there. We went to the aquarium and to the beach. The weather was wonderful and Zusha actually got to go into the water! He was thrilled with the waves and couldn't be more excited about all the sand. Gedalya loved the aquarium and then went to sleep in the sling for most of the ocean part of the trip.

Gedalya is 5 Months Old

My cute baby...

And a few days after he turned 5 months...
He learned to sit by himself, without support.
Look how nicely he is sitting!


Oops. Let's try again.

The funny part- Gedalya still supports his weight by leaning forward on his hands while he sits. So Zusha came to the conclusion that he's searching for ants! He gets down next to Gedalya, leans on his hands, too and hangs his head down. And together they search for ants on the dining room floor. :)

And with the new sitting skill comes a whole new and exciting milestone...
