March 2009 Photos

Here are some photos from the past month that didn't appear in any posts. :) Enjoy!

~Zusha almost 5 years~Gedalya 3 years~Adel 4-5 months~

Zoooom!

Tiny hentelech!

I just love Adel's eyes. They have such an intriguing shape. (Zusha took this photo.)

Nothing beats pressing random buttons!

Electric boy

Adel is always SO happy to see Zusha after cheider. Her face lights up with a huge grin.

Adi announces the end of the photoshoot.

Ringlets!

This photo is too dark and out of focus, but the effect is interesting!

Here's a more standard version:

Laughy Adibaby

Pensive Adibaby

Camouflaged Adibaby

Tired Adibaby

Mirrored Adibaby (Zusha took this creative picture of a store window :))

And... Adibaby with her favorite Zusha!

(I got Adel this spring jacket in size 12 months. This is the first time she wore it, and it's a little tight! I wish I would have gotten size 18 months, but how was I to know? Oh, well.)

One Day Last Week

My mother came over.
The Poozils love playing with their Grandmother!

Trying to Recreate...

...the lost school bus photos. They are the only ones of my favorite photos that we weren't able to retrieve after Gedalya worked on my camera with his sticky little toddler fingers. So we tried again. These aren't nearly as good as the originals, but nice anyhow.

Frustration

Zusha told me that the older boys on his bus have messenger-style bookbags. (Well, he didn't use that term, but he explained it to me.) He said that when he gets older, he wants to have such a bag as well.
Okay, fine with me. He's going to need a new backpack next year anyway, so I kept my eyes open for something like he described. When I chanced upon this, I felt like I won the lottery:

Eastsport Cotton Drawstring Messenger Bag

Not only is this the style he wanted, but it's also YELLOW! His favorite color!
But, my fickle boy decided that he doesn't want such a style anymore. Oh, well.

Arts and Crafts Boy!

"Arts and Crafts Boy" has special meaning behind it. Zusha used to tell me about a friend in his class, the Arts and Crafts boy. I was wondering how he earned that title... so Zusha explained very simply: That's his name! :O
So I went through the class list and tried out all the names... came up with "Ari Travis."
"Is it Ari Travis?"
"Yes!"

But Zusha is really my Arts and Crafts boy. It's his passion. He loves nothing more than stapling, cutting, taping, gluing, creating. This is his place in the sun!

So here is a little taste:
Airplane, 4 1/3 years old

A frog the boys made at the library. Zusha was 4 then. He loves it, and plays with it like a real toy. He cares for it so well, that it's in great condition 8 months later!

Age 4 1/4
This masterpiece is titled, "Ship on the Ocean."

At 4 1/2, Zusha built a train from blocks. Check out the wheels and smoke stack! He's as obsessed with trains as with excavators, and can make one out of practically anything!

Pesach Cleaning is FUN!

Who knew?
I am vacuuming the kids' room (well, I was up until I took a little break to write this post. ;))... all three of the Poozils are there with me. The boys are making puzzles in the already-cleaned section, and Adel is hanging out on one of the beds. Hillel is out in the yard working with a drill.
When I turned off the vacuum once, they heard a buzzing noise continue from outside. They got so confused and started giggling. Upon running to the window, they realized that it wasn't our vacuum we were hearing from outside, it was their Tatte and his drill!
Now they are turning the vacuum on and off, and listening for the drill to go on and off as well. When it does, they run to Adel and shriek, "A zelbe zach, Adel? Yah????????!!" (The same thing, Adel!)
And Adel replies with peals of laughter.

And they keep going on and on.

Yesterday (Shabbos) we went to Zusi's house again. When we were ready to go home, Zusi wanted to come to us. So we took him! It was nice. :) On the way to us, the Poozils were fighting about who was going to hold Zusi's hand. LOL!
The boys played- Zusha enjoyed showing him all the toys and arts & crafts. Zusi was intrigued by Adel, since she's one month younger than his baby.
Then his father came to pick him up.

Now the bedroom is just about finished! It looks nothing like it did yesterday after the boys "worked on it." I think I will take a picture, because it won't look like this again anytime soon! (I even washed the windows, inside and out!)

Pesach- we'll get there one of these days!

She Sits!

Guess what Adel did yesterday? She sat! On her own! For several seconds at a time!

I was dressing Adibaby, and balanced her in the sitting position so I could get the clothes over her head easily.

That's when I realized that I'm barely even supporting her... she's basically sitting on her own!
So I slowly let go. She started leaning over. I helped her find her center of balance. She kept looking down and falling forward.
So I had a great idea- I turned on her mobile, and she raised her head to look at it. That helped her get a better balance, and- she sat!

Presents!

For Gedalya's birthday, I got both boys lego excavators. They can come apart and be put together several different ways. They are compatible with their regular lego set, so they can incorporate other blocks into the excavator construction. They are having such FUN with them! :D

I also gave them cute little calculators (they love calculators!), tiny smiley face buckets, and post trucks. They've been asking for those trucks for a while!

My friend Hila also sent over some toys for ALL the kids! The boys got two different jigsaw puzzles, and Adel got a colorful, crinkly peacock toy that she really loves playing with. (Thanks, Hila! ;))

Oooh, what is it? Is it a bear? (They have no concept of wrapping paper- it had bears on it, so they thought the gift was a bear!)

Oh, Mama, look! It's an excavator!
