March 2007 Videos

This was on Purim. We just came home after a very long day, and Zusha went straight to the computer and turned it off. He got scared when he saw it shut down, so he came to me saying, "Bwoke pitut," (Broke computer.)
"Bwoke pitut, bwoke pitut, bwoke pitut. Zusa hut gemacht bwoke pitut!! Bwoke pitut zusa hut gemacht!! ..." I asked him why and he said, "Nisht shein, m'darf machen fixy." (Not nice, we have to make fixy.)

Some of the Latest "Projects"

Here's a collection of some things I've made or did recently... with the kids' help, of course!

Want to see magic?

Fifteen minutes after!

Zusha's mittens were too short at the cuff and hard to tuck into the coat sleeve. So I cut the feet off a pair of old socks and sewed on the long part to the mittens. Now it tucks in great!

This interesting contraption is what Zusha made while we were installing the stair gate. He wanted to be part of the action, but this was all he could contribute, not being allowed to wield instruments.

This is a stove I made for Zusha from two cardboard boxes and white contact paper.

I keep his toy foods and dishes inside.

The burners are sink strainers.

Little woolen boots for Gedalya... ahhh, toasty...

Happy Birthday To Gedalya!!!

Today was Gedalya's Jewish birthday. He is such a big boy already! Zusha was very excited to hear that Gedalya is already a toddler!
We all went to Kids in Action, which is a soft gym type of place. The kiddos had a real blast there!
They climbed, slid, rolled, jumped, crawled... all over the place! There were buttons galore to press and colorful balls all around to jump in and throw. The kids rode on bicycles and tricycles and steered cars. Zusha went on a long train ride around the "park."
After the kids played to their hearts' content, we had a pizza lunch and Gedalya fell asleep immediately.
At home we opened presents!
Gedalya got a plush Shabbos play set with two challos, a bottle of wine, a kiddush cup, two candles and a challa deckel. Zusha taught him how to play and now he loves making kiddush!
Another toy, which was for both boys, was a bubble maker that can make humongous bubbles. Gedalya also got some cute clothes from his grandmother, which he couldn't wait to try on as soon as possible. Winking 9

Getting ready to go...

We are having loads of fun!!

JUUUUMP!!!!

Doctor

We are all sick, and it's no fun. I took Zusha to the doctor last week and he went into hysterics! Didn't let anyone touch him and just screamed and thrashed. He was so scared, poor thing. Turns out he has strep and needs to take antibiotics.
Then yesterday I went to the doctor. I told Zusha all about it: how the doctor used the stethoscope, otoscope, thermometer, etc. He listened, enthralled. I asked him if I cried at the doctor. He said yes! I said, "No, because the doctor is good, and she makes vavas go away."
Today Gedalya went to the doctor and I took pictures of him there to show Zusha that it's not scary and Gedalya isn't crying. (Of course, I had to delete the crying pictures!)
