What a neat trick!

Gedalya loves to press random numbers on our phone to her the recording that he got the wrong number. But on a payphone, it's SO much more fun!

Bye bye!

Building the Sukka

One day after cheider I took the boys to the park with the scooter and the bike. Neither of them are too much into riding, though. Gedalya likes the scooter somewhat, but only rides for a minute or 2. Suddenly they wanted to ride, so I took them to the park where there's more space.

Sleepy Boy Zusha

Zusha wheeling Gedalya in our brand-new lightweight stroller! I finally found something with TALL handles that is a decent price.

Drawing with chalk in the park...

Gedalya drew Furby, with encouragement from me (he doesn't like to draw because he's aftraid it won't look nice, so I have to boost his self esteem in that area.)

And Zusha's picture of Furby.

Goldilocks!

Ah, this was the day after the baby was born. Gedalya is letting out his energy! :D

Newborn Baby Adel'eh, one day old.

Zusha's artisctic photo- can you guess what it is?

Hillel taking Zusha off the bus!

I was finally able to take Zusha off the bus myself, with some help running after Gedalya from my mother. After Zusha came home, we stayed outside for a bit to enjoy the nice weather.

Adel, 9 days old. The boys love playing with her!

Major Trip... (at least that's what it felt like...)

First let me say that girls are sneakier. If my boys peed during diaper changes, I knew about it. This little maidele... I change her diaper, snap up, zip up, swaddle up, pick up... and realize the her whole back is soaked. Rolling Eyes Unswaddle, unzip, unsnap, change clothes... LOL.

Yesterday I decided I can handle imprisonment no more. Besides which, Zusha decided he didn't want to go to cheider that day, and I would be home with all three kiddos. Hillel helped me set up the double stroller again. I waited till Adel's next feeding, bundled her and the boys, and out we went! It wasn't great walking weather, but I so needed that.

Adel in her space, er, I mean winter gear. :)

The boys examining their sister in the stroller:

We went to 13th Ave. I got some really cute GIRLY things in The Children's Place. ;) Then she began to wake up and cry, so we went to a pizza shop for a food break for everyone. Ironically, she fell asleep there and didn't wake up no matter what I did. We enjoyed our pizza, and I took the kids on a ride. That's when Adel woke up screaming agian. Great. I picked her up and we rushed to the library a couple of blocks away. Made it in, plopped everything down by a table and began to nurse her right away.
At the pizza shop...

Adel sleeping on as if she hasn't been screaming for food a minute ago. :)

On the rides:

The kids enjoyed their rare library treat. I used to take them once or twice a week in the summer, but we have only been there once since the beginning of September. After that we went to a grocery, where I made a delivery, and then headed home.

The outing was great, and sorely needed for us all, but unfortunately, I began to feel much worse as soon as we got home. :( I still need to take it easy and rest. She's only one week old!

Oh, and we had a little milestone, LOL. She was born with the top of her ear turned inside out and bent down, and it's all straight already. How nostalgic. Smile I feel like she lost her "newborn" characteristic.

Bathy Time!!

Adel'eh's first sponge bath:

She doesn't look too pleased.

Actually, she looks a bit displeased.

Ahhh, this is much better, Mama!

Nursing

Thanks to Gedalya, my milk came in 36-40 hours after birth. Before that I had milk anyway, just not a lot. But whooooa, when it came in, it was just SO much! Gedalya was thrilled! Very Happy I even drank peppermint tea to diminish the volume. There was so much that Adel didn't even need to suck. She was swallowing right as soon as she latched on. Laughing B"H the tea helped somewhat. Smile

Introducing...

So today was the kiddush. :) Zusha was so excited to go. He got many Mazal Tovs on his new baby sister, which made him proud.

She is named after the Ba'al Shem Tov's daughter, Adel, and the phrase it is derived from, "Aish Dos Lamo," was read from the Parsha on the day she was born. Couldn't get more perfect.

Homemade baby. :)

Zusha's Take on Baby

Baby has a peach fuzz, looks like blonde. She looks exactly like Zusha did, but with Gedalya's nose Laughing Eye color... hmmm. Navy? Laughing I'm really hoping for Zusha's sake that they turn blue! Wink

Zusha is full of chochmas now that the baby's here.
"We always had only yingelech, but not maidelech. Now we have yingelech and a maidele. When maidele grows big, she will have lots of hair and have a long pony tail. Will she cry when you make her a tail?" I said I don't know if she will. "Yes, she will. Because she will see that Gedalya cries when you make him a tail, so she will think you're supposed to cry." Laughing

Then he's pestering me about the name. I told him she won't have a name until Shabbos. But he's pouting, "Tatte knows the name, Mama knows the name, but I don't know it!"

It's really cool about the name. We don't talk about it before birth, but both my husband and I only had one girls' name in mind. And the posuk from which the name comes is in this parsha!

Some pics of the kids saying good night to the baby before going to sleep on the day she was born:
