Here is Moorkitz, Zusha's hamster.
And Hommy is Gedalya's.
They are sure keeping us entertained, laughing, busy... they are little troublemakers and need to be rescued from their predicaments sometimes. I have to remove the exercise wheel when I go to sleep because they climb up on it... or one hamster makes the other one spin around... or Hommy climbs into the nonexistent space between the wheel and the wall, which is bad enough, but gets even scarier when Moorkitz starts running.
So I remove it, and then they shoot me accusing glances, pick themselves up and just go to sleep. As if there is nothing more to life than the wheel.
I'm so happy to experience the joy of pets once again. (And I'm not new to this pet business. One day I will write a post in commemoration of all my creatures.)
haha. they sound mischievous. is that the new one also? i had tons of pets growing up! a miniature pony, rabbits, dogs, cats, gerbils, my brother once had a snake (yuck it was sick), horses, and a random other assortment of farm animals, fish...

ReplyDeleteI'd love to have something substantial, like a goat, but we'd need place for it... we already had a rooster in a one bedroom apt, so i know it doesn't work so well. :)
