Dress the kids all matchy-matchy and we are on our way! As a treat, I decided to take the kids to a far park. There is a park on Fort Hamilton that we sometimes visit. Not too often, since it's a nice walk away. It's nothing special, but since we go so rarely, the kids love it.
"Yay! Vaiter park!!"
First thing, the boys ran to the sprinklers and expressed their confusion as to why they weren't on. I explained that they will only be on in the summer. Although it feels like summer now (it was over 90 degrees!!) it's really only spring.
So they gathered their water balloons and trooped over to the drinking fountain...
...only to discover that it also wasn't working!
Talk about disappointment. For everyone. In all other parks, the drinking fountains have been on for a couple of weeks already. I promised Zusha that I will bring the balloons with me when I pick him up from cheider tomorrow and we'll go to a park that does have working fountains.
Yeah, I didn't think that idea would go over well.
Okay, okay. We'll go today. To the Ave F park. Yes. Although it did take us over a mile of walking to get here. We'll turn right back and walk another mile plus change. Nooo problem.
But not before we took an obligatory matchy picture. The other park doesn't have much in terms of greenery, or any other area fit for a backdrop.
"Okay, guys. You do what you have to. I'll be having my princess rest now."
So, after a long, tedious and tiring walk, which included both boys clambering up onto the stroller, so I ended up pushing over 100 lbs while they rode in comfort, we arrived at our destination.
OMG WOW! Water balloons!!
AND not only did the drinking fountain work, but... the real sprinklers were also on! Kiddie heaven!
Adibaby had her first sprinkler experience.
She thought it was great fun...
...as did her brothers.
Wet little ballooney boys!
I can't believe all three match! That is so cute. YY liked G's hat. ;)
