Zusha thought that it's not really fair that I get to hold Adel all the time while he only gets supervised sessions while sitting down. So he asked me if he can carry her in the sling. I figured- why not? Let the kid have a turn. I don't want to be a sling hog.
Unfortunately, I only had the Hotslings pouch with me, and it's not adjustable. Zusha was basically holding Adi in his arms while the sling hung limp on his shoulder.
So the next day... we gave it another run with the Maya Wrap!
And it worked so much better. Of course, the tail reached the ground, but that's no matter when we have two pleased kidlets.

Adel thought it was so funny. She actually giggled!
so cool!!!!!!!!! SS pesters me INCESSANTLY to hold YY. she practically yanks him from my arm and parades around the house with him, while i'm running after slighly nervous with my arms outstretched. when she gets tired she runs back to me to plop him on my lap till the strength returns to her arms. and the cycle begins again till i get exasperated with the continual yanking and say, "ENOUGH FOR NOW!"
ReplyDeleteChedva wants to do the same but YY is too big for her little tiny self, so i hold him at the same time while she plasters him with kisses.
btw, it's so...i need a better word here...amazing how similar our kids are. Chedva adores YY, but SS and YY have this amazing relationship. she's such a mammale to him. they have a special connection. i see it in Zusha's eyes the same thing.
ReplyDeleteisn't it also so cool how much you see 'clicking away' in the babies' heads when they're around the big sibs? i see the little wheels just cranking away when he plays with the girls.
B"H B"H.
Yeah, it's cool how both our oldest kids have a deep connection to their baby siblings. :)
ReplyDeleteI made it clear to Zusha that under no circumstance is he to pick up Adel without my help.
Although he does help her sit up or roll over when she gets tired of one position and starts kvetching.
oy! SS knows not to pick up YY by herself, she only takes him from me. but when she wants to hold him (read 24-7) she pulls on him till i notice-give in-tell her to stop.
