We have to settle for electronic interaction. So when we do get together, it's a real treat! Zusha and Gedalya talk about our get-togethers for months after!
January was a jackpot month because we had two such visits.
This curly boy is a few hours older than Adi. And although the pictures don't give that clear of an idea, he's about 50% bigger than her.
I had the privilege of photographing this five month old yummie...
...who is not five months anymore... she's soon turning one!
Maybe I'll get a chance to see these giant eyes again soon. :) (And the rest of the baby. And the baby's siblings. And her mother. And... you get the point.) The ball's in your court, CR! :P
At one point the iPad got pulled out, and it became the center of attention. Sorry, CR, if I hooked your girls on any games that will keep you and your iPad apart forevermore. Heehee...
What impressed me was that my friend didn't even mention the yellow caution tape strung around the house. With a brood of four of her own, it seems that it takes a lot to surprise her.
Curious? The explanatory post is on its way!
I can't believe how short Adi's hair was back then! Now it's slightly past her shoulders. I'm keeping it long for the summer so I can tie it up.
Clips don't hold so well in her hair, so I rely on pony holders to keep her face cool and hair-free.
Maybe in the fall I will take her to a hairdresser and get something nice done to her hair. But she is mortally afraid of anything that looks like an "official" chair, so maybe not...
*~*~*~*~*~*
This visit was a little tamer. Only toddler and baby came along with Mommy.
This munchkin decided he doesn't want anything to do with our cat. That's putting it mildly. So he spent the majority of the visit in this position:
But I discovered that he likes my camera's flip-out screen, just like Adi. That really brought him out of his shell (if not off his mother's lap. Heh heh.)
A sleepy little visitor... It was so nostalgic having a newborn (well, almost three months) fall asleep on me while I rocked him. :)
Precious baby newness...
I hope to see these two boys, and their sisters, too, very soon! Now that school is over, we'll be doing a lot of visiting... :D :D :D
Did I tell you we're planning on doing Dovy's upsheren in NY? No? Oh well, we are. In September. While we're staying in BP for a week for the Bro in law's chasunah. I'm not coping well with this. But we will be happy to visit...
ReplyDeleteAlso, was I supposed to mention the caution tape? I try not to comment on other people's living spaces. In the same vein, I would prefer that no one comment on mine. I know exactly what it looks like, thanks :)
ReplyDeleteYou weren't *supposed* to mention it... I just thought it was funny because as a mother, it doesn't faze you. :)
ReplyDeleteUpsherin will be early? Any reason? I'd love to see Dovy before you chop it!
Reason is because my husband's whole family will be in the country. He apparently wants his parents to be there, and considering mine live around the corner, I can't really say much about that.
