Ocean!

A couple of weeks ago there was a hurricane warning and all swimming on the beach was prohibited. We grabbed the chance! An empty beach = perfect opportunity for the kids to play in the sand. The waves were slightly higher than usual, but that's it!

The boys had a really great time playing in the sand and building things from it.

We brought over water in basins and the kids played.

We took along helium balloons tied to kite strings and let them fly high!

Soon enough Adibaby got tuckered out and went down for a nap.

Zusha and Gedalya were thrilled to go to the water's edge with their grandparents.

I stayed with Adi and watched the boys frolic from the distance.

Although the waves were nothing to close the beach over, they were still higher than usual and fascinating to watch.

In our rush to get dressed, I completely forgot to take along the kids' caps. So I got creative with Adi's head covering:

(What is that? Can anyone guess?)

When Adi awoke form her nap, I threw her into a basin. The water was now warm, bordering on hot, but Adi still wasn't so sure about it at first.

Soon enough she got used to it and started splashing!

That's the way, little girl!

What a long and tiring day! Slowly everyone returned from the water...

We washed the sand off ourselves, our shoes, our toys... and we headed home!

In the car Zusha announced, "It was so much fun! Than you for taking us to the ocean."

  1. So... you put pants on Adi's head? We do that all the time with the girls. Almost everytime my husband changes a diaper the girls end up getting the pants put on their heads by daddy. Now they think it is a normal part of diaper changing. Ha!
