Doctor
Whew, it was a busy and long day! We even managed to squeeze some fun in, like the local park (deep in Flatbush), a train and bus ride and a visit to a new library. The car ride to the doctor was fun as well (for the boys, at least
).

) Adel is behind physically and mentally. Also, Adel's head is in the 18th percentile (compared to her 75th in weight and 90th in height) and her fontanel that was smaller than normal when Adel was born already closed 3 months early. Gah. The doctor couldn't do much as far as diagnosing anything as all my concerns were outside her field of expertise (I figured as much.) But she did see there were issues and told me that I need to bring her to a urologist, neurologist, geneticist and get her started on early intervention. And I have to call all these places TODAY. Better get moving before everything closes. The road begins.

does anyone else in your family have a small head? my ped takes my kids' head circumferences with a large grain of salt (as long as it grows a little bit) because everyone in my family has a small head.
ReplyDeleteShe wears hats that Gedalya outgrew at 4 months. New hats, I buy 3-6 months.
ReplyDeleteThe doctor wasn't SO concerned because the head is growing 1 cm a month like it should. But the fontanel business is thrown in, so... Fun times.
