Loves to hurl random items into, that is.
Behold, the abyss:
It is the spot behind my dresser. You see, the mirror doesn't extend until the end of the dresser, and there is a perfect little spot.
So, I knew all along that he throws things down there. But I was never motivated enough to pull the dresser away and retrieve everything. Not even before Pesach.
But one day, Gedalya took a piece of a new puzzle that Hila got for us and sent it into his favorite abyss.
So the dresser had to be moved.
I prepared myself, and you should, too.
Want a better view?
I raked out the endless pile and divided it into two:
One pile of the things to keep, and one of garbage.
The save pile:
A book, CD, firetruck, some coins (fake and real), at least five dreidels, two ice-cream erasers, toy keys, a picture frame, an insert for a vapor plug-in, a watch band, a magnetic light switch cover for Shabbos, Zusha's arts & crafts iron that he drew, and of course, the puzzle piece.
And the discard pile:
Several baby wipes and tissues, some old dusty balloons, a puzzle piece from a puzzle we don't even own and haven't owned in at least a year, used up batteries, stickers, Adel's old pacifier, wrappers from cheese, junk mail, package from tights, clothes tags, a cut-up postcard, old and dirty rubber bands and pony holders, bent paper clip, straw, and backing from band-aids.
That was very therapeutic to have cleaned out so much junk, and to have discovered some items that were missed.
That is, until I moved the dresser back and within a few hours, Gedalya went back to his full-time job of item-hurling.
LOL. He sounds like such a sweety!
ReplyDeletelol! he's just like Chedva (even the hair, well also used to be his hair!). she loves to hide things, and stuff things places, and is a tremendous fan of ziploc bags and small items.
ReplyDelete(do you/they actually like the puzzles?)
