Ever since Zusha lost one mitten somewhere between cheider and home, he's been very careful about preserving the items that fall off his clothes or backpack.
He lost a mitten again and put it in his backpack. Then a button fell off his vest, and he put it in his pocket. One wheel fell off the car on his backpack, he saved that too.
Well. This week he came home with a hole in the sleeve of his t-shirt. I asked him about it, and he pulled out a scrap of material from his pocket, which he saved! I asked him how it happened- did he get caught on something sharp? Did they do arts & crafts with scissors that he could have snipped it by mistake?
His answer? "It fell off by itself. While we were learning. It just fell off, so I put it in my pocket."
Aha.
