Oh, I am So Nostalgic!

There is a group of rides on 13th Avenue with which the kids grew up. There is a horse (Tuda), car, and Mickey Mouse (Mishitza). These are some of the last rides around which are still a quarter; most are now 50 cents. They all stand in front of one store, which makes it a lot of fun for the kids to run back and forth between them. Zusha calls this entire group of rides "13th Avenue."
Not long ago, I noticed that the store to which they belong was having a clearance sale. Eventually they took down the fixtures from half of their store- they moved the whole store to the other half. I was wondering what would happen to the rides, as the storefront is now half the width. Would they squeeze them all together? Or would they get rid of some of them?
Yesterday as we were walking, I saw the car ride hooked up to a little truck, ready to be towed away.
That little car, that was part of our lives for the last 3 1/2 years...
I told Zusha to say bye-bye to it (Gedalya was sleeping). In middle of saying bye, he noticed that there were 2 new rides to replace the car and Mickey Mouse! So he threw a halfhearted good-bye over his shoulder as he proceeded to explore his newfound treasure.

So I was left alone with my nostalgia.
So here is a tribute to the little car and mouse that made my children's lives bright for 3 1/2 wonderful years...
