Here are the shoes she has outgrown so far:
She wore them during her first winter and first summer. Here they are, all stuffed with socks, ready to be put away.
And these are the shoes that fit her right now.
How cute are they all? I got a bunch of them on various sales from different places. I assumed that Adel would need pre-walker shoes for a while because she is, well, a pre-walker. But since it was decided that the best thing for her is to have shoes for stability, I had to go out and buy real shoes. And now all the cuties pictured above are languishing on my dresser. I may use them indoors when winter comes, just for warmth, but the PT said that it should be either barefoot or supportive shoes, so we'll see.
I can accessorize Adel's wardrobe with shoes when they are $3-$8 a pair, but what about when they are $65?
Never fear! Creativity to the rescue:
Now Adel's shoes are all girlied up with flowers.
Whaddaya think?
I love the way you girlied them up.Do you want size 19 gold ones? my daughter wore them for maybe 6 weeks. they are high tops
ReplyDeleteI LOVE shoes! The only time I feel the slightest tinge of sadness for not having a girl (yet) is when I take my boys for new shoes!
ReplyDeleteThanks Leah Etty, but I'm not into gold...
ReplyDeleteMiriam Sarah, you can see that more than half of the shoes in the photos can be worn by boys. I actually like many boyish styles better than girly. I chose boyish shoes as Adel's real shoes because I don't like the over the top feminine features the girl options had.
I guess you're lucky in that case. Shoes are my weakness....
