Little Baby Udi

She's getting to be a big baby Udi. I've started to differentiate between pajamas for the night and an outfit for the day. Unlike before, when she'd stay in whatever stretchie it was till I decided it was too crusty.
So I have added Adel's clothes to the stack that I prepare for the boys in the evening, for the following day.

It's so amusing to see three little outfits. :)

Sigh, if only she'd sleep in a way that matches her new dressing routine. Little nightingale.
She also likes to look at toys, and in the last week started actually smiling when I chat her up, instead of furrowing her brows and looking at me funny.
When I rock her and then pause, she begins to claw at me, demanding more.

When she waves her arms around aimlessly and bops one of the boys, they get so excited, "Adel petted me! It's like a potchy, but it's not, it's just very strong petting. I like it when she pets me very strong."

But Wait! There's More!

Gedalya has been such a lovely boy lately. And he just keeps getting lovelier and lovelier.

On Friday he plastered the outlets in the bathroom shut with toothpaste.

On Shabbos morning, he arrived in my room, announcing that it's snowing in the kitchen. YAY. A 2 lb bag of flour met its end.

This was after I swept up already. Originally it was in an even layer all over the kitchen.

All over the counter. Again- after I swept most of it off, but before I scrubbed the rest. (Notice Zusha's menora in the background. :))

And my personal "favorite"-- burned onto the electric blech.

Zusha's take on this?
"It's OK. You made latkes already."

He's so practical.

Puzzles and Games at the Library

Yesterday everyone overslept and Zusha missed the school bus.
So we went out for some library fun. In the activity room there were many toys, games, puzzles... and the kids indulged themselves!
Gedalya is tracing letters, with a magnetic pen that carries a little metal ball around the inside of the letter.

And Adel'eh isn't to be left out, either! Look how she is enjoying herself, kicking up those little feetsies and waving around those fisties!

Zusha shows Adel a plush tomato. There was another toddler playing there, too. She threw around the tomato like a ball. Gedalya scoffed, "Baby thinks this is a ballie! But it's a pamidor!"

Playing is hard work for little girls. A nap is in order.

Oy That Boy!

Within the past couple of days, Gedalya has:

ripped the toothbrush holder off the bathroom wall,
blew out Chanuka candles,
spread diaper cream all over the computer monitor,
and dumped a bucket of Clicks (their Chanuka present) into a sink full of dirty dishes.

And- on Friday morning he raided the fridge, found the gefilte fish I made the night before for Shabbos, and ate it. Actually, he took out a plastic knife, cut (what he considered to be) slices, and ate them one by one. :D

You gotta love the mischievous smile on his face when I discover what he has done.

One night last week, Gedalya was taking a bit long to fall asleep. Zusha was already asleep, but Gedalya was babbling to himself. The next morning, he walks into my room with his face scribbled up with red marker.
I asked him what happened. He replied, "Zusha colored on Gedalya's face," with that sheepish smile of his.
"Tell me the truth, what happened?"
"Zusha colored!"
"Are you sure it was Zusha who colored?"
"Yes."

I let it go, and a few minutes later I asked him again, "Who colored on your face?"
This time he said it the way it happened:
"When Gedalya was supposed to be sleeping but wasn't, Gedalya colored."

And then I saw Zusha's face... colored, too! Gedalya admitted that he colored Zusha on the face while he slept on. OY!!

My 2 Month Old Baby!

Isn't she gorgeous?

At 2 months, Adel is beginning to smile a bit more often, but is still a bit stingy with those smiles. She is beginning to get fascinated by toys and will stare at them for long periods of time.

She also has a new favorite food, after num-nums:

Yup, her fingers! Mmmm. Sometimes she starts to cry, and stops abruptly. I go over to look, and there she is, sucking away at her fingers. :)

Another trick of hers is to grab my clothes when she cries. Or when I am rocking her and I stop, she starts clawing at me. LOL.

Finally, Real Snow!

As soon as the weather cools down in the fall, Zusha keeps asking for snow. In order to give him a frame of reference, last year we told him it will snow around Chanuka time. And B"H it did! Otherwise, he'd never let me live it down. LOL.

This year, our first real snowfall was right before Chanuka. It was on Friday, so I cooked as fast as possible, bundled up the boys, and took them out to play in the front yard about an hour before shabbos.

We made a snowman, too!

Then today, Zusha was in cheider and I took Gedalya out. The snow was still around, and it was very icy. He enjoyed it a lot!

We also bought a new menora for Gedalya, since he unscrewed parts from his last year's and lost some pieces.

Tonight was the first night. Zusha lit the menora he made in cheider. From WOOD. Brilliant.
