On Monday the kids finally had their first swim after a two-week break (the nine days, Tisha B'Av, stitches...)
And then we went to the library! Unbeknownst to us, there was a reptile show there instead of a kids' reading program. Yay!
We don't usually let Adi walk on the street. She has out-of-stroller time in the park and the yard. But on days when we aren't in a rush, we give Adi the luxury of walking beside us like a big girlie.
My little monkey Adi. :)
Nice setting, huh? Tried to take pictures of the kids, but first this happened:
And then this happened:
As you see, I didn't even bother cropping out the window from the above shots. It adds to the overall feel. :)
I removed Adi, and managed to get at least something.
That whole week it has been thunderstorming on and off. At one point we found ourselves right under a split in the sky. One side blinding sunshine, and the other, ominous, dark grey clouds. It was a cool phenomenon. Later on in the day, storm clouds mixed with regular ones. It was fun to watch!
On Tuesday we went to the bay again. I'll post all the awesome photos later, but isn't this cool? We watched it rain on Staten Island from across the water. Do you see it?
Wednesday swimday.
Adi doesn't love the pool as much as I thought she would. She adores water and baths, but I think she is nervous that this pool is so deep.
So I emptied out a plastic toy storage bin that we have in our yard and filled it with water!
Her own private pool.
After a relaxing Wednesday, it was time for another trip on Thursday!
We went to Sunset Park. It was our first time, and we all loved it!
I didn't particularly love trying to balance the over/under-exposure in shots like these, though. If the background was visible, the kids were too dark. If I focused on the kids, the background was all washed out.
More Sunset Park photos to come, as well!
