By 11 months Gedalya is really advancing in his motor skills. He attempts to take steps, cruises a bit along furniture, and climbs!! He loves to climb anywhere he is able to.

February 2007
The children love to help for Shabbos! Zusha washes the dishes and Gedalya separates the attached baby wipes.
The boys all dressed up to go to a Bar Mitzva.
We had a big snow storm. This was the very beginning...
Look, Ma, No Hands!

Gedalya Learned...
...Many different things!
Zusha and I taught him where the lamp is. Now he points to the light and says, "Pa-paaa" for "Lampa."
He also learned where his "kepele" and "nezele" are (head and nose) and "kalenachka" (knee), too.
Outside, he points to cars and says, "Ka" for mashinka.
He learned how to wave bye-bye all by himself!! And he says "Baba" along with it!
I'm very impressed with my baby boy! He's not even one!

Gedalya Finally Figured it Out!
I like to "test" Gedalya by asking him to show me each family member. He points to each one when I ask. But when I ask "Where's Gedalya?" he points to me!
Today he was standing next to my bed as I was trying to wake up. One finger was pointed at me and another to himself. He said, "Tulya, Mama." I wonder how long he was trying to figure out the answer to my "riddle?"
Another new trick: Each night I do the bedtime routine for Zusha:

Another new trick: Each night I do the bedtime routine for Zusha:
(Me)(Zusha)
Gute Nacht
I Love you
Gei Shlufen
Farmach Tirele
Farmach Oygalach

Last night I began the routine, and Gedalya chanted the entire thing in the intonations that Zusha and I use! He didn't say the words, but he babbled in the beat of the chant. I was so impressed! He's 11 months now.
